One of Victoria's best kept secrets!

Nestled in a valley surrounded by beautifully sculptured hills, one cannot help being impressed with the picturesqueness of the approach to the township of Tallangatta.

The "new" town of Tallangatta was built in the 1950's when the "Old" town was flooded when the height of the Hume Dam was raised to allow storage of more water for the irrigators down stream.

A town planned and built in the 1950's is a unique and interesting place to visit. At the centre of the retail area is a beautiful park with a fabulous playground for the children.

Pleasant drives may be made from this centre in every direction, amidst the most charming valleys and mountain scenery. A delight for many tourist's with every bend in the road unveiling another magnificent view.
